MarineLancer Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding agreements to use the Platform.

2. User Accounts

Users must register with a valid email address and complete email OTP verification. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activities conducted under it.

3. Platform Services

MarineLancer is an online marketplace that connects maritime professionals with individuals and organizations seeking maritime services. MarineLancer facilitates connections but is not a party to contracts entered into between users.

4. User Responsibilities

Users agree to:

• Provide accurate information.
• Communicate professionally.
• Deliver or request services in good faith.
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Respect confidentiality and intellectual property.

5. Prohibited Activities

Users must not engage in fraud, impersonation, spam, unlawful activities, copyright infringement, or attempts to bypass or misuse the Platform.

6. Payments

Payments, fees, and commissions (where applicable) are subject to the pricing displayed on the Platform. Users are responsible for applicable taxes.

MarineLancer charges a 2.5% platform fee to Clients/Companies on payments made through the Platform. MarineLancer also deducts a 2.5% platform fee from Freelancer/Inspector withdrawal requests before payout. These fees may be displayed at checkout, payment, or withdrawal and are non-refundable unless required by law.

7. Intellectual Property

Users retain ownership of their existing intellectual property. Ownership of project deliverables should be agreed upon between the Client and Freelancer unless otherwise specified.

8. Limitation of Liability

MarineLancer provides the Platform on an "as is" basis and does not guarantee the quality, completion, legality, or outcome of services offered by users. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MarineLancer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform.

9. Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or compromise the integrity or security of the Platform.

10. Changes to These Terms

MarineLancer may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
